The big change: I went back to being vegan.
The details:
- Breakfast: I have a protein smoothie for breakfast every morning. Typical one: protein powder, banana and chocolate powder and soy milk. Another one: protein powder, frozen strawberries, frozen blueberries, and soy milk.
- Lunch: I try to rotate between these meals: Vegan chicken sandwich with lettuce and hummus; giant spinach salad with almonds and cranberries; vegan cream cheese, tomato and cucumber sandwich; veggie chili
- Dinner: Something with beans for dinner: black beans with salsa and vegan cheese; black beans and rice with veggies or guacamole, Black beans and tofu scramble.
- Snacks: unlimited heirloom baby tomatoes, vegan turkey-roll-ups, apple slices, almonds, baby carrots/celery with vegan ranch.
- No junk. No dairy. My big advice: AVOID HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP! It literally tricks your brain, it messes up the connections in your brain that tell you you’re hungry/full. When you eat high fructose corn syrup, your brain doesn’t know you ate, so you’re tricked into being hungry sooner. You eat more and more often. It’s so messed up. I wish it was illegal. There are so many studies I could tell you about if you’re interested.
- Just bought the Veganomicon Cookbook on amazon. Getting new ideas. Going to try a new dish every few days.
- Exercise: I’m doing 30 minutes of cardio 3-5X a week. Either running on a treadmill or the 30 day shred video.
- Added B12 and green tea to my daily routine.
